Austin is the capital of the state of Texas, and is the 4th largest city in the state. Residents of Austin are known as "Austinites" and include a mix of university professors, students, politicians, lobbyists, musicians, state employees, high-tech workers, and blue collar workers. The city is home to enough large sites of major technology corporations to have earned the nickname "Silicon Hills." Austin's official slogan is "The Live Music Capital of the World," and many try to follow one of its unofficial mottoes of "Keep Austin Weird".

If you are searching for quality of life in all aspects, Austin is the perfect place for your move. Austin has been consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the United States. In June 2006, Kiplinger’s Magazine voted Austin the #5 Best City to Live In and was the only city that catered to all ages. This unique city is home to the University of Texas, Dell, a plethora of bars and restaurants, and a beautiful landscape nestled at the foot of the hill country. Between outdoor sports, live music venues, beautiful parks, great museums and a variety of theaters, one would have a difficult time being bored while living in this truly culturally enriched and diverse city. | |
